Experts in Financial Services Regulation


We are seeking Software Engineer to join our New York City office.  This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial-minded professional to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment. 

You will be part of a team of experienced professionals, including recognized industry experts and former financial regulators.  You will have an opportunity to work on a range of projects that will hone your skills across a range of disciplines. 

The ideal candidate will have significant software development and experience in both startups and large companies. She or he must possess well-developed analytical problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our team to identify and understand external data that is important to our clients.

  • Develop systems to allow our team to gather and standardize such data before processing.

  • Build and manage data pipelines, and iteratively refine our understanding of data sources that matter to our clients.

  • Design and build solutions for logging, monitoring, and alerting that we can workshop within your team and later promote across the company.

  • Leverage creativity and independent thinking to solve complex, technical problems.

  • Implement solutions with an emphasis on testing, suitability, maintainability, and clean-coding practices to produce simple solutions and reduce technical burden.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years professional programming background in Rails or Python.

  • Proven ability to develop innovative technical solutions in response to business requirements.

  • Dedicated ability to work productively as part of a small team and effectively manage competing workstreams.

  • Experience deploying and maintaining code using git-based tools and operating in a continuous deployment/integration environment.

  • Experience writing tests and documentation for maintainable code-bases.
